Activity of Truth
He who brings much knowledge of the truth brings you more pains - except if he at the same time brings you also strength to live by the truth. God's love in Jesus Christ gives you power to put the truth into practice.
Know the truth and live by it
They are totally two different things to know the truth and put it into practice. Knowing the truth doesn't cause us automatically to act according to the facts. Everybody has more knowledge of the truth than he has put into practice.

Acting according to the truth is a challenge to everybody. We all struggle with some truth being not able to put it into practice, although we all succeed to do right in some issues.

Almost every smoker knows that smoking damages his health. Nevertheless many of them don't do according to their knowledge but continue smoking. Nearly all know that adultery deeply hurts their spouse. However this knowledge has not prevented many from committing this crime.

Nations know that their current way to manufacture goods destroys the Earth. Nevertheless resources of the nature are wasted. Many try to put their knowledge into practice and protect the nature, but the results of their efforts are not enough. The mankind's debt to the truth is growing like a surge.

All know that they will die one day, but only few put this truth into practice and make preparations for their eternity.

It is painful to know the truth and experience the lack of strength to live by it. One group resolves this anguish by doubting the truth, the second one by dismissing it away from their mind, the third one by pretending with truth and the fourth one by seeking strength to put it into practice.

Four attitudes to the truth
Doubters of the truth try to prove that the truth is a lie so that they would not need obey it. The truth is against their selfish plans.

Forgetters of the truth feign ignorance so that they would not need feel themselves guilty and evil.

Pretenders of the truth make themselves and others believe that they have lived by the truth when they have done it in a formal way, with which they cover up their shame that actually they are not able to live by the truth.

Doers of the truth have received strength from Love to act according to the truth. God feels sympathy for you, if you want to follow the truth by fighting against your own evilness.

"In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1Jo.4:9-10

This is God's love that your evilness is forgiven and you are allowed to live through Him. He gained forgiveness for you, but also the possibility to live through Jesus. You are able to put the truth into practice by living through Him.

Words of truth and activity
We all know the truth about God. We react to it just the same way as we react to any other truth, we doubt it, we push it away from our mind or we pretend with it. However, some want to stick to the truth, because they believe themselves to be able also to live by it.

Often talking about God is only speaking about doctrines. What does it benefit to know the truth about God, if you cannot live by it! The words of truth which are not obeyed are useless. Faith without deeds is dead.

This sentence comes true in our relation to every truth: Whoever believes in a truth and acts by it will make a success, but whoever does not believe will fail. The same thing is said about our faith in the truth of the gospel of God: "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Mr.16:16

When Moses told the Israeli about the land promised by God, it was difficult for them to believe that it was true. Finally when they believed in it, it was also difficult for them to act according to their faith and to follow Moses to the land. God helped them as well to overcome their disbelief as to follow Moses. Paul says about them: "All our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea." 1Co.10:1-2

They were baptized into Moses by following him. Baptism means putting the truth into practice. When they looked at the sea before them, they were tempted to return back Egypt and so be left without a baptism. Instead they walked through the sea on dry ground to the opposite shore. A wall of water was on their both sides.

The generation that was born in the desert was baptized into Joshua, when they went through the river Jordan to the Promised Land. Now the waters of the river were cut off and standing up in a heap beside them when they passed over the river. In both cases only a miracle of God made it possible to put the truth into practice.

When we tell about God's Gospel of the crucified and up risen Jesus, it is difficult for many to believe that it is true. Finally when someone believes in it, it is also difficult for him to act according to his faith and to follow Jesus. God helps us both in believing in the gospel and in putting that faith into practice.

As the Israeli received the baptism into Moses by following him in the same way also Christians when they follow Jesus receive the baptism into Him. The Bible says about this: "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Ro.6:1-4

Also in this baptism they who act by the truth are allowed to experience a miracle of God, they gain a victory over their sin. The resurrection power of Jesus causes it in them.

The new life in Jesus is the wonderful Promised Land that God has promised to give you. Have you decided to give up sin and injustice because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross? The Christian baptism means putting the gospel into practice.

James, the apostle speaks in the same spirit as Paul and says: "Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect." Jas.2:21-22

When the apostles said in this way they certainly had in their mind the following words of Jesus: "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say?" Lu.6:46

If someone really believes in the gospel, it cannot be affecting his deeds. Experiencing of God's love makes the dead faith alive. If the salt of the love of Jesus has an effect in us, we are able to give ourselves to Him completely. He says: "So likewise, whoever of you who does not forsake all that he has cannot be my disciple." Lu.14:33

All glory for this goes fully to God and not us! It is His deed in us, if we are able to give ourselves to Him. God's love is powerful to conquer us so that we can give ourselves to Him. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." Ro.12:1

However all cannot give themselves to Jesus, although they try hard to do it. Jesus says about it: "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able." Lu.13:24

They cannot go in through the Jesus door, because they don't experience God's love which comes from the sacrifice of Golgotha. They don't experience the love because their heart doesn't fully agree with God's sacrifice. You cannot give yourself to Jesus by the power of your own love!

Narrow door of active truth
The truth of the gospel causes a pressure to give up sin and to live like Jesus did. This is too oppressive for many who have believed in Jesus as their own Redeemer. This is the narrow gate where many have got stuck.

One group of them has begun to doubt this truth explaining they are saved by Jesus although they live however they want. They think that God's mercy gives them the right to live in sin. Just them Paul was rebuking when he said: "Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not!"

They have spread a bad report for other believers about "the promised land" by frightening them saying that sin is occupying the land and it is too strong an enemy. They rebel against Jesus and they don't want to enter into a battle against their own sin life. They don't fight because they don't believe in the victory Jesus would give them.

The second group who has got stuck in the narrow gate wants to forget the whole pressure of God's love which tries to baptize them into new life. Deliberately they forget that in practice they don't live in a manner worthy of the gospel. They just want to sing to God and entertain themselves with spiritual feasts in order to forget they are not baptized.

The third group has invented some formal manners to be baptized into Jesus. They want to be better people because they consider themselves believers. However living through Jesus doesn't suit them but they want to live through themselves and they want that they themselves become good people. Living in the goodness of Jesus doesn't satisfy their lust of pride.

If someone believes in his own ability to live a good life, he cannot become baptized into Jesus and he cannot enter into the life of God. Who knows God, knows also his own wickedness. If God's glory in Jesus has shone into your heart, you can hear in the gospel the invitation to become baptized with His baptism. Be not afraid of the distress of His baptism, for He will be with you. He once exclaimed: "I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished!" Lu.12:50

Thus nobody will be saved by his own deeds, but only by the deeds of Jesus. He atoned all our sins, but He also does all our good deeds. Therefore it is written: "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Mr.16:16

Who doesn't believe in the gospel remains without a baptism. Therefore nothing is said about the judgment of an unbaptized person. This is natural because the baptism is a result of faith. However it is not a deed of whatever faith. The baptism into Jesus is the deed of the faith, which we got as a gift from God after hearing the gospel. The baptism into one's own righteousness is a deed of the faith, which everybody has had since a baby.

Before getting the faith of the gospel nobody can become baptized with the Christian baptism. There are different kinds of baptisms as there are different kinds of faiths. The Christian baptism can come true in your life only after the moment when you have the faith of Jesus of the Bible. It exists only one Jesus, it exists only one saving faith, it is His faith, and it exists only one baptism that gives new life, it is His baptism. Therefore it is written: "One Lord, one faith, one baptism." Eph.4:5

Words of truth and ceremony
When the Bible speaks about baptism, many don't recognize that often it doesn't speak about a baptism as a ceremony, but how it is experienced in everyday life. Especially those who want to put truth into practice in some formal manner stick to a ceremony of the baptism.

The ceremony of the baptism describes the reaction of a person who heard the gospel and wants to put it into practice in his own life. It is more important to carry out baptism in everyday life than to be baptized in water.

If someone lives in a manner worthy of the gospel, God considers him a baptized person, though the ceremony was never performed to him. Although the ceremony of baptism would be performed to someone, but he doesn't live according to the gospel, God considers him unbaptized.

Those who pretend with the truth use words of the truth, not for hearing with heart, but for producing a mystical atmosphere and causing occult effects. They try to cover their rebellion against the truth by using words of truth as spells and thus believing that these carry out the truth on their behalf. According to their faith the words of truth and water together work wonders. Their baptism is disobedience to the truth and a sin of superstition. Their ceremony of baptism has nothing to do with the baptism of Jesus about which the Bible says: "One baptism".

The superstitious are disputing about the words, which a baptizer used when he baptized someone, whether they were the correct words. Although a baptizer would say nothing the deed is valid, if the motive of the baptized person was right. If the one who is to be baptized believes in Jesus with all one's heart the person can be baptized. If one's heart has not become obedient to the gospel of God, one is not suitable to be baptized.

By saying "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit" a doer while doing a deed cannot involve God in that deed. If a deed is done according to the will of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, then it is done in the name of God.

It is blasphemy to claim something to be His work, although it is against His will. It also means practising falsehood in the name of God, when some say they baptize into Jesus, although actually they baptize only into the membership of a human association.

Some believers don't ask baptism for themselves, because they think the baptism that was performed before they came to the faith would be valid. This kind of thinking proves they either believe in baptism as a sacrament or they don't understand, what baptism is all about. How could anybody beforehand surrender to live the life according to the gospel? An effect cannot appear before its cause.

The sacramental faith doesn't care if the baptism is not done as a deed of faith of the baptizee. This comes from the fact that the sacrament is based on the divine authority of the baptizer and not on the faith of the baptizee originating from God. A sacrament is suitable for persons who have not the faith originating from God but want to be Christians.

If a ceremony of baptism had the right effect regardless of the motive of the person who wants to be baptized, then of course it would not matter when it is done. Then there wouldn't even be any need to ask for that person's permission, who is going to be baptized whether he wants it or not.

The majority of all the persons who are baptized with a baptism of Christian associations are baptized without any permission of the baptized one. If we wanted to follow the truth, then the Children's Ombudsman should summon those churches before the court to answer for violating the rights of children. Babies are victims of religion!

God has not commanded to baptize babies. Of course He commanded the Jews to circumcise their baby boys, but there is not a corresponding commandment concerning the baptism. Thus those who baptize babies, when saying "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit", break this commandment of God: "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain." Ex.20:7   Jesus said that little children are accepted to the heaven, but He did not say that they would need a baptism. Churches invented this need to get new members.

Not one baby has been baptized because of the faith of the baby, but those baptized, have been baptized on grounds of the sacramental faith. Or have you heard about a baby who confessed his faith and asked to be baptized?

It is a deed of the faith of parents, when they bring their babies to be baptized or they press their young to be baptized after a baptismal school. You, impudent father or mother! Why do you try to give a response to God on behalf of your child! Give a response only on your own behalf. Believe the gospel and let yourself and not your child to be baptized! Why do you practise religious tyranny together with churchmen?

If you bring your child to be baptized believing that God does something to your child in that ceremony, you will have fellowship with a religious spirit. Later when your child understands the matter also he will share with the same spirit, if he believes that he became a Christian in his baptism. In this way the faith in God's gospel has been replaced with believing in baptism. What a pity, this has kept so many away from the spring of life.

Nobody, who is acting in line with the truth of the gospel, brings his child to be baptized, because he believes in the power of the gospel. Kindly he is waiting for his children to give their response to the call of the gospel themselves. Do not try to be a sharer in the gospel and a sharer in the crime against it at the same time.

Dissociate yourself from the baptism, which was performed to you on wrong grounds. Do not consider wrong right and thus share with the power of lie. If you have brought your baby to be baptized, confess this sin to God.

Two ways to live by the truth
There are two ways to carry out the truth and to try to be a good human being. Either you try to live in a right way for your own glory or for the glory of Jesus. Both ways have their own baptisms. You can select either a baptism in water for a religious education or the baptism in water for the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Many Christian churches baptize with water so that the baptized ones could become participants with a Christian education. The preachers of God's gospel baptize those who came to the faith so that they would have a share in the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Who seeks honour for oneself trusts in the power of education. Who seeks honour for God trusts in the power of the Holy Spirit. A good life powered by God's Spirit produces glory only to God. Therefore many don't want to be baptized with a genuine Christian baptism.

Who lives according to God's gospel doesn't anymore strive after good life for his own glory. However if someone wants to do it, this attitude causes him to dissociate himself from his baptism into Jesus.

Experiencing God's mercy and love should cause us to give ourselves to God. However if it instead causes us to seek our own glory, it can be caused by our religious education. Religiousness causes us to trust in our own goodness. Your baptism into the goodness of man prevents you from giving your response to God's love in a manner it is worthy of.

At this end time the mankind wants to unite their power for saving the world. This was what they were also doing when they were building the tower of Babel for the first time. Now, the time has come that they for the last time try to put the truth into practice with human power. Do you want to have a share in the baptism of Babel or a share in the baptism of Jesus? Do you want to carry out the truth by the power of your own goodness or to live by the truth for the sake of God's love?

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Follow the Way, remain in the Truth and Live in God's love!
