Dead end of a suicidal murderer
Some have reached such a dead end in their life that they have found no other way out of their distress than committing a suicide. Woe to them, why didn't they call on God! If they had done it, for them would have been opened the way to life! Do not become a murderer, whatever is the reason for your dead end! Don't knock at the floor of your agony, but at its ceiling. Don't ask for falling down to death, but ask for rising up to life! To him who knocks at it, it will be opened!
Self-destruction
A proud man can experience reaching a dead end, if he will face public shame. For example some businessmen who have gone bankrupt have committed suicides. They rather died than carried their shame. The greater things a man thinks about himself the harder he feels the shame. Take care not to think proud thoughts about yourself! They are seeds of self-destruction.
The desire to live that comes from your own glory is deceitful. Seeing God's glory gives the eternal desire to live. If only you knew Him, who deserves all glory, but received our shame. By looking at His agony your distress is taken away. His agony has opened the way up to life for many distressed.

Tired of life
Devoted caring to your matter can exhaust your soul and spirit. The efforts of your innermost being can consume all your energies. Exhausting of your spirit appears so that you are interested in nothing anymore.
Losing the purpose of your life can lead you to a suicide or to self-destructive behaviour. Expressed with the term of the Bible your soul is "going down to the pit" and expressed with modern term you are "burning out". God is the source of life. Before long your spirit is exhausted, if you are not in connection with Him.
Driven by your lusts, your exhausted spirit can get refreshment only from God. Our spirit gets exhausted, if it is not allowed to drink the Spirit of God. Thirst for God: "I spread out my hands to You; my soul thirsts for You like a parched land. Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide Your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit." Ps.143:6-7
A life lived for God doesn't exhaust, but a life lived for idols exhaust both soul and spirit. The Bible describes the stress of godless people: "You will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life. In the morning you will say, 'If only it were evening! and in the evening, 'If only it were morning!'" Deut. 28:65-67
Also some successful men have committed suicide even on the grand day of their glory. They burned out when serving their idols. Money or work might be their god. "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have pierced themselves with many griefs." 1Tim.6:10
Also many other bad lusts can lead to a suicide. You can come to a desperate conclusion, if you lose the object of your passion: "I cannot live without it or without him/her". You can also come to a desperate decision after you gained your greatly desired pleasure: "Getting this is not as great an experience as I thought. Is there any reason to live anymore!" How dangerous it is to love perishable things too much!
"Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." 2Cor.7:10
It is good for you to be so much worried about your sins that you begin to seek the grace of God. That kind of stress leads to salvation. However, many are worried so much about how to get rich that they finally start to seek death.
God must be more important to us than our work. We don't work for our living, but because it is the God's will. God gives us our food and drink by His grace without earnings of our work or in spite of it. So we all eat the bread of charity. Jesus says: "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the births of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" Matth.6:25-27
If you don't get tired of sinning then you get tired of your life. What is your choice? He who is tired of his sins can find a new life in Jesus.

"When Judas was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.: 'I have sinned', he said, 'for I have betrayed innocent blood'. 'What is that to us?' they replied. 'That's your responsibility.' So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself." Matth.27:3-5
If Judas had been afraid of the judgement of God, he would have asked God for mercy. Instead he went to confess his deed to his accomplices who didn't regret at all their deed. Believing in the God of judgement saves us from the judgement of our own heart and the judgement of the other people. Guilt without faith in God leads to despair.
Judas didn't believe in Jesus in the same way as the other disciples. When speaking about Judas Jesus says: "no-one can come to me unless the Father has enabled him." John.6:64-65 Judas had rejected the testimony that the Father, God had given him about Jesus. However he believed in Jesus in his own way, which caused his destruction. He would not have been able to betray Jesus, if he had realised who Jesus truly was.
Feeling of guilt can be unbearable. Its agony can kill. It is no wonder, if we want to get rid of it. However pain of guilt without pain of judgement means sick guilt. Modern soft attitude to sin has created a lot of sick guilt. Do not condemn your parents or social conditions or God for your deeds. It is your fault. Be responsible and confess that you deserve the judgement of God and men.
If only you would know Him, who was not guilty but got the punishment of God for our sins. In Gethsemane He took to carry our guilt, but on the cross the judgement of God struck to Him instead of us. He did this just for you that you could get the strength to confess that you deserve your punishment.
Do not only feel: "I have sinned." You should also feel: "I deserve the judgement of God." God's forgiveness doesn't reach those who only confess their sins, but don't accept the judgement of God. When they rebel against the judgement of God they get into difficulties where they have no other choice than to judge themselves.
If you don't humble yourself to be judged by God, it is only natural that you will be judged by yourself or other people. Do not be afraid of God's judgement, for He loves you, although He judges your bad deeds. "The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him." Isaiah.53:5

Many people commit suicide bombings against God. They have bound themselves to the bomb of sin with the rope of injustice. "Woe to those who draw sin along with cords of deceit, and wickedness as with cart ropes." Isaiah 5:18
Their words bind them firmly to evil when they proclaim their sins as virtues. God has drawn them with the cords of love, but they have cut them.
They rush against God in defiance of their destiny in order to hurt God's feelings with their suicides. Think about it - they try to hurt His feelings who loved them so much that sent His Son to atone their sins! When they wage war against God they will be killed by His holiness, which ignites the bomb of sin they have bound to themselves.
Many assume that all people would believe in God, if only He would appear in a visible way. However the problem is not in the insufficient evidences of God, but people don't accept the principles of God. . They love injustice and therefore they hate God and His reprimands.
God sends distresses to men in order to open their ears to receiving reprimands and commands them to turn from wrongdoing. But if they do not listen, they will perish by the sword and die without knowledge. God chastens a man on a bed of pain with constant distress in his bones "to preserve his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword." Job.33:18
The soul of a desperate, would-be potential suicide "draws near to the pit, and his life to the messengers of death." If he then calls on Jesus, God is gracious to him and says: "Spare him from going down to the pit; I have found a ransom for him." In this way God "turns back his soul from the pit, that the light of life may shine on him." Job 33:22,24,30
God has hidden Himself from the mankind, so that His presence would not too much harass the everyday life of the rebels. However very soon He will appear for the whole mankind and then all godless people want to commit suicide. They carry out it so that they gather to the battle against God in Armageddon. Rev.16:13-16
A war against an enemy superior in force is a suicide. The Palestinians seek to do suicide bombings because of the superiority of the Israelites. If they would believe in their victory they would try to stay alive. Now they see only the two alternatives, either to live in the country governed by the Jews or to die. In the same way the whole mankind will feel when Jesus comes. They have to live in the world governed by God or to die. Many of them rather die than live "boring Sunday school life" in the Kingdom of God.

For the incurably ill it is nowadays wanted the right to commit suicide with the help of a doctor. He experiences no purpose in his life and therefore wants to die. God has a different point-of-view than we of our purpose of life. Our life in this body is valuable, although we could not live a physically active life. Also when very sick we can grow and ripen in the spirit. From the God's point-of-view our real life is in eternity and our earthly life is only a preparation time for our real lot.
It is upsetting that euthanasia is also called a mercy killing. It is a mockery to connect the word "mercy" with a suicide. . Euthanasia is a suicide. It is a flight into death from the dead end of pains.
When the judgements of God will face the world the mankind seeks death: "During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them." Rev.9:6
You cannot flee from God to any place, not even to death. In any case you one day must stand before Him and answer for your life. If you intend to commit a suicide, you must take into your considerations that you can fall out of the frying pan into the fire. Certainly in hell they are suffering more than you now. Jesus experienced your anguish on the cross. He overcame death and was risen up. He is able to save you. The way up is open. You are not in a dead end, but in a pit. Jesus can draw you up to the wide place!
