Spring in your heart
What spirit you have drunk, such a spring of spirit you have become. When you allow your heart to speak, is it death or life that flows from you? Drink inside you the spring of living water, open your heart for creative light and let yourself be attached to the trunk of goodness.
God is calling you without words
One day you can feel that your life is very dry and purposeless. On that day remember that God is the spring of life, who wants to move into your heart.

One day you experience darkness where you don't see any hope. On that day remember that a light shining from the face of God can settle down into your heart.

One day your wickedness can incise your heart. On that day remember that God is the gardener who wants to cut you off from the tree of evil and graft you into the good one.

Spring of living water
What spirit have you drunk? You believed it, you were committed to it and you surrendered yourself to it, because you imbibed it. Your mouth speaks out of the overflow of your heart streaming like a spring. Is death or life flowing from you? Is it curse or blessing, lie or truth coming out of you? Wouldn't it be good if the spring of death dried up in you and instead a spring of life bursted in you?

Do you want to drink the Spirit of God? Taste from the spring that wells up Jesus Christ to you. He says: "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life. Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life." John 7:37-38, John 4:14, Rev.22:17

It is obvious that a person who has a spring inside will never be thirsty. Inside every Jesus' own there is the spring of God's words, for "we were all given the one Spirit to drink." 1Cor.12:13   Is there a spring of God's words inside you or are you drawing life only from the Bible? Jesus says about this: "His word doesn't dwell in you. You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." John 5:38-40   To be able to get a spring of God's words to your heart you have to come to Jesus and drink God's Spirit that He gives you. God's word will dwell in you, if a spring of God's words is in you.

Your Bible knowledge doesn't help you, although it would be biblical and correct. The only way is to experience the spring of His words in your heart. Drink this: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Do not resist when God the Father put His cup onto your lips and lets you drink His Spirit: "Jesus is the true God and eternal life". Knowing Jesus is the drink of life.

Source of life
In what light is your heart thinking? You watched it, you kindled to it and remained resting in its warmth. You lived in the wisdom of your light until you were confused and lost your hope. What if the light within you is darkness? See how the light is shining out of darkness. Jesus says: "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12   Look at the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

Internalize the gospel of the crucified and resurrected Son of God and the lamp will be lighted up in your heart.

Dare to go into the darkness of the judgment of your sins and you will reach the light of God's mercy. If you confess your sins in faith to Jesus, the light from the face of Christ will shine in your heart.

It is obvious that only the one who sees the glory of Jesus is able to follow Him. Within every Jesus' own the light of God's face is shining. "For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness', made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ." 2Cor.4:6

Your image of God doesn't help you, although it would be biblical and correct. The only way is to experience the light of His face.

God's face shining in your heart is your treasure. Only it can change your attitudes. It expands your awareness and gives you a possibility to do truthful observations concerning your own mind. "We, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2Cor.3:18

Roots of goodness
From where does your heart imbibe strength to think, to speak and to act? You became aware of your needs. You set your goals and put on high speed in your life. Your environment tasted your sharp tongue and the power of your hand. Your efforts walked all over other people and your wishes drove you to forefront until your deeds frightened you and you felt a sharp pain in your spirit. What have I done? Do you not know that you are a branch of an evil tree? The gardener already tried his knife to you in order to cut you off from evil and to graft you to the good tree. Do you grant the treatment of God? It would be good for you to accept it, because He says that "every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." Matth.7:19

Jesus says to those who belong to Him: "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5

It is obvious that only he who imbibes strength from Jesus, can think, speak and act as He. Your own goodness doesn't help you, because your own roots are in the sinful nature.

Keep your spring clean
You notice how the Bible speaks about light, water and nutrients when it expresses the salvation in Jesus Christ. This tells us that the same person, who planned this world, also planned the salvation for us.

Any idolatry blocks the spring of God's words in your heart. Worshipping creation throws stones to the spring of God and opens another spring that wells up poisonous water that causes death.

Religious authority can become a veil that covers your heart so that you don't see the glory of the face of Jesus. The human authority of Moses affected in the Jews of the time of Jesus so that they didn't see the glory of God in Jesus. In the same way the authority of any priest or preacher can separate people from God. Do not ask any priest to represent you before God, as you are allowed yourself to step in Jesus Christ into the holy of holies.

Even one offence against a teaching of Jesus can prevent nutrients to flow from Jesus to you. Maybe you can keep your faith, although you give up one of the teachings of Jesus, but you can bear fruit only if you completely unite yourself with Jesus. A branch gets dry, if it totally loses its connection to the trunk. Jesus promises: "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you." John 15:7

Let faith, hope and love remain in you! Let your faith to the name of Jesus, God's Son remain in you - through the power of the spring of God's words. Let the hope of the salvation remain in you - through the power of the shining of the face of Jesus, God's Lamb. Let God's love remain in you - through the power of the grafting to Jesus.
