Jesus can heal an insane person
A bad disorder in the harmony between spirit, soul and body leads to insanity.
About the structure of manBy examining our internal life we can notice that man is spirit, soul and body. Often the observations on spirit have been considered the functions of soul. This has led to the conclusion that man would be only body and soul.
Obviously the spirit of the
scientists has been deadened in some way, because they have not recognized the existence of spirit. Our common
rebellion against God is the reason for all evil in the world. Insanities are one of many consequences of
sin.
Our spirit communicates with our soul and the soul communicates with our body. These three form the harmonious whole. God
created our spirit to control our soul and our soul to control our body. If everything is well in our life, the functions of our spirit, soul and body are in the harmonious order.
In the life of all of us
sin has in some amount broken the harmony between spirit, soul and body. However, in insanity an especially bad disorder has been appeared in them.
Contamination of spiritImagination is a function of our spirit. It can be used right or wrong. We don't know what someone is imagining in his spirit, if he doesn't tell us. Then if he suddenly became insane we may ask what bad he did or experienced, when this happened. Outwardly he necessarily experienced no evil but surely he thought something that is related to becoming insane.
Insanities proclaim this message to all of us: "Be careful with your thoughts!"Evil thoughts are the source of all bad things in the world. Everyone sometimes thinks evil but only regarding a few it leads to becoming insane. Evil thoughts are like viruses or germs. All don't become insane though they receive the same germs as those who become insane. Some have a weaker resistance to bad thoughts or they are surrounded by them more than others and therefore they become ill. Some people don't resist their bad thoughts because they consider them good ones.
It is dangerous to
dream of being something great.
Proud thoughts are kisses of death to our spirit and cause bad furuncles in our soul.
Sexually immoral daydreams deaden spirit and poison soul. Dreaming of becoming rich and having a lot of property harden spirit and pierce soul with grief. For the sake of your mental
health - flee from proud, greed and selfish thoughts!
Our spirit is able to enjoy experiences of
dreams. We can dream to be something that we cannot be in real life. We may want to think over and over again same dreams, if our spirit received satisfaction of them.
Imagination is a gift of God, but if we misuse it, a mental virus may enter our soul and we become ill.
In itself a tiny event of the real life can influence us unexpected powerfully due to our
dreams. It can be mixed with our dreams in a sick way and start in our soul a process that causes insanity. This process of our soul changes the messages that it receives from the body and gives our spirit distorted information. So we have hallucinations. Some hallucinations may be considered good experiences by a person who wants to flee from reality.
For the sake of your mental
health it is better to do something to put your
dreams into practice than to self-satisfy your spirit with your dreams. The best thing is to abandon totally your
pride and ask
mercy from God. Our spirit experiences the greatest happiness and satisfaction, when it is allowed to experience God's
grace. Deny your spirit honor so that you could experience grace.
Don't blame Adam and Eve for your evil. In our thoughts every one of us has experienced our own fall in
sin, which contaminated our spirit. Only the
blood of Jesus Christ is able to cleanse our spirit and return us the
fellowship of God. On the other hand the experience of
forgiveness is not enough to
heal insanity. Instead we are healed if our spirit is cleansed from bad thoughts and our soul from their consequences.
Bad processes of soulWe are what we have experienced. Our spirit grows and develops according to our thoughts, our soul according to our experiences and our body according to our genes.
Our soul is influenced by both our spirit and body. Whispers of evil spirits work up our soul, if our spirit adopted their thoughts. Also the experiences of our body shape our soul. All which is accumulated in our soul can become a part of our
ego, although our consciousness is in our spirit.
If our spirit
surrendered to
sin, a process started in our soul. It becomes a part of our
ego. The Bible speaks about the body of sin. If someone rebukes us about our
love to honor and to
sexual immorality, we feel the rebuking person
hates us and not only our deeds. If our ego is off from sin, we don't feel that rebuking
offends us.
When Jesus says that we should pluck out our eye or hand that causes us to
sin, He is speaking about the members of the body of sin in our soul. These processes of soul are a part of our
ego. Therefore Jesus is speaking that we should be ready to lose something of ourselves.
When residing in our soul the processes of
sin contaminate our soul and may cause insanity. All "bad organs", originated by our sin life, are pressing our spirit. If they start to control our spirit our thinking start to run in a sick circle. A common member of the body of sin can change to insanity, because we don't get out of the hot loop of our thoughts. Thus what is
sanctification for every
believer is
medicine that
heals an insane person. Every believer who has experienced sanctification has experienced how his mental
health has improved, although he had no insanity.
There is a danger that an evil spirit captures a bad process of our soul and so we become demon-possessed. Then our own spirit loses its control over that part of our soul. There live evil spirits in a part of the insane persons.
It is not the most important thing to drive evil spirits out, but to deaden the evil processes of our soul, "the body of
sin might be done away". A demon-possessed person should first turn to Jesus in his spirit and not to try to drive out an evil spirit. If a possessed one
confesses his sins to God, he will receive
forgiveness. Then the
Holy Spirit will help the spirit of man to deaden the
evilness of the soul. At that moment the evil spirit will go away, because it lost its right to live in the soul of man.
It is not the worst thing if someone is a demon-possessed, but it is more terrible if a person has completely hardened his spirit for what is right and what is wrong. Evil human beings are worse than evil spirits. The
salvation starts in a bad person when he humbles himself before God and let his spirit be broken in the power of the
cross work of Jesus.
Jesus died for insane personsJesus died for all evil doers so that we could receive
forgiveness of our
sinful thoughts, words and deeds. The forgiveness is needed because God
hates evil doers. It is wrong to think that God hates sin but
loves a
sinner. Jesus didn't die for sin but He died for a sinner. God hates a doer of sin. Therefore Jesus received God's wrath on the
cross instead of us.
Remember yourself as a doer of a
sin. In your recollections consider yourself as a bystander who is looking you when you were sinning. Agree with God's wrath against yourself as a doer of that sin and let God's Spirit deaden that
sinful being away from yourself. Remember how Jesus was on the
cross suffering God's wrath because of your sin.
Sin lives in your soul and speaks you its will with your own voice. If your spirit lives in the
Holy Spirit you are able to put to death your bad will so that you are no longer a slave to sin. Though a bad process of your soul would not die immediately, it will finally die if you are patient.
Many
believers think that it is an evil spirit who is tempting him to
sin although actually it can be a process of his own soul. An evil spirit can be driven away but a bad process of soul must be put to death.
A sick connection between spirit and soul has an effect also on body so that it can be seen even in
blood counts. After a long period of insanity it may take time before the whole man become healthy. It is needed patience to wait for that the influence of our
pure spirit will reach our body through our soul.
If our spirit was allowed to experience God's
grace, it started good processes in our soul. Who tasted heavenly gift in his spirit is allowed to experience great
joy,
rest and
peace in his soul. These good processes of soul have caused many
spiritual songs.
When we came to the
faith Jesus saved our spirit, in
sanctification He saves our soul and in the resurrection He will save our body.
About meeting of JesusMany of us have sometimes waited many hours for a doctor in a hospital. The doctor delayed and delayed but we waited patiently. How many hours you have waited for Jesus? Often we
pray to God only shortly and don't wait for Him. Obviously we don't
believe to receive any response.
Jesus lives and therefore He can be met. If you don't seek His
meeting, you don't
believe in Him.
Church meetings are not shortcuts to Jesus. He can meet you also there, but only if you first seek Him when you are alone.
Bad conditions of life can prevent us from turning to Jesus, but our unwillingness and unbelief are the real reasons. Many don't want to take the
medicines of Jesus although they want to become healthy. We take strong medicine, if we
confess our
sins repenting our
evilness and
humble ourselves under the power of God therefore, because Jesus died for us.
Who says that the
medicines of Jesus are worse than the medicines of a psychiatrist? The medicines that Jesus gives have many good side effects and the medicines that a psychiatrist gives have many bad side effects. However an insane person would be advisable to eat those psychopharmaceutical drugs that prevent psychoses. Those drugs tease soul through body so much that a bad process of soul cannot control over spirit. In this way an insane person is freer to seek Jesus. After Jesus has plucked the insanity out off your soul you will not anymore enter a psychosis and so don't need that drug any more.
Anywhere you are you can turn to Jesus and receive help. Speak to Him in your thoughts. Add the right address to your prayers. "You, Jesus, who died for me, help me!"
