Easter
In the history of mankind there are three deeds of God, through which He saves His people liberating them from their enslavers. The hope to reach a better state of affairs is smouldering in the soul of every man. Two Easters have been and the third one will come. At the first Easter God's people got out of the slavery of Egypt to the Promised Land. At the second Easter we got out of the slavery of sin to be followers of Jesus. At the third Easter we will get out of the old creation to the new one.
Getting out of Egypt
All three Easters have in common the feature that God gave his salvation to some and his judgement to others. In the time of Moses the whole Egypt met with God's plagues, so that the people of God would get out of there. During the last plague God killed every firstborn of the country. "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn - both men and animals - and I will bring judgement on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord." Exodus 12:12

The same destiny was waiting for all firstborns of Israel. They were saved from God's judgement through the blood of the lamb. "They are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the door-frames of the houses where they eat the lambs."(verse 7) "The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you...."(verse13)

Getting out of sin
At the second Easter God's firstborn, Jesus Christ was the Lamb that was sacrificed. His blood gives salvation from God's judgement. The gospel of the crucified and raised Jesus offers the admission out of the slavery of sin.

So as Pharaoh didn't want to let Israel go out of the country, so sin doesn't easily let go its hold of us. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood." Rom.3:23-24

This second Easter enables you to have the faith and you can get out of Devil's kingdom into God's grace.

Getting to the new world
However the final salvation of the people of Jesus will take place at the third Easter, when Jesus will come back to the earth. At that time the same kind of plagues meet the world as at the first Easter. From the middle of those plagues God's people don't go anymore through the sea to the Promised Land but through the skys up to God's heaven.

"Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars (asteroids) will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And He will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other." Matth.24:29-31

Who is He, who was to become the Son of Man? He is the Word of God, Jesus Christ, who is the Lord or Jahveh or Jehovah or God.

Once He was the Lamb of God on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins! Now He is the High Priest on the throne of God for our faith!

Soon He will come as the King on the clouds to create everything new! "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is and is to come." Rev.4:8
