Consider the cost
Most people have estimated they will get into the Paradise of God after they have died. Have they calculated the costs of their salvation right?
Let's calculate costs
People of an affluent society were doing well. They ate, drank, built and were good consumers. They said to themselves: "You have plenty of good things laid up till the days you are a pensioner. Take life easy, eat, drink and be merry." However at one moment the house of their spirit was destroyed and their soul sank into the embrace of death.
They were able to calculate the cost estimate of their house, but they didn't understand to calculate the cost of their immortality. They tried to live without thinking of their death in the same way as they didn't like to think of the repayment of their housing loan.
Concerning all other things they calculated, what does it cost, but they didn't calculate what does it cost to overcome their evilness. They took great pains to fulfil their desires and lusts, but they did little or nothing to find the source of eternal life. Woe to them on the payday of their evilness.
Death is a great unknown to him who doesn't want to know his own evilness. Who confesses his evilness knows that death is due to him as the wage of his evilness. God is a great unknown to him, who doesn't want to acknowledge that God is good. Who praises God knows that life is a gift of God to him. So I hope that you today consider the cost of getting rid of death as the wage of your evilness and of getting a share of eternal life.

Extremely high costs
You were sitting quietly thinking about your death. You experienced pains of loss. You must leave here all that is dear to you - all those things for which you take so much pain. God the creator of the nature that you saw and experienced, He is able to create everything new. Building a new habitation for your spirit costs Him much. The costs of your eternal life are surpassingly great.
You need not believe in your death and anyway you will face it. In the same way you need not believe in God and anyway you will face Him. You need not believe in the resurrection of your body, but anyway it will happen to you. Instead you can have an influence on the content of these things which unavoidably happen to you. You can have an influence on the way how you will die. You can have an influence on what kind of resurrection you will get. You can have an influence on how God reacts to you when you will meet each other.
It is said that the evil one has a log life. God killed the evil one on Golgotha, in His Son, Jesus Christ. Did you blame your own evilness on God? You cannot do it anymore. He paid the expenses for the overcoming of your evilness. He sacrificed His only Son for the removing of our evilness. You, who are reading this - be careful. God gave an extremely expensive sacrifice to be able to save you. Take care not to despise His sacrifice!
You can consider the cost too high. Maybe you don't consider yourself so evil that God should take such great pains for it. If you think in this way, do make your own cost estimate. Try in earnest to avoid evil and do good honestly. Cleanse your heart from all injustice and gain for yourself the perfect forgiveness. What does it cost you? Maybe you will then notice that you are not capable of being good, and so you will appreciate goodness that is given you as the gift of God.

They say evil is good in the same way as sellers can praise their merchandise to be good although they know it to be worthless.
After the sellers got their money they maybe don't care about the sorrows of a builder. When a builder notices in practice that he has been deceived, he starts to seek more expensive but proper solutions. In the world there are many religious pretenders who have falsified the cost estimate of your salvation so that they could benefit earthly from you.
What does it cost you to overcome your bad lusts? Many are wondering, what bad lusts? They react in this way because they don't consider their pride, greed and selfishness to be evil. On the contrary they consider them the prime mover of their life. They calculate without pains the costs of their salvation. Just buy a little bit of gloss, that's all. How could they see the value of Jesus! In no way!
You may buy perishable goods from a smooth trader, but do not buy the truth of God from a smooth priest. Jesus is reliable, because He doesn't gain honour for Himself, but for the one who sent Him. The truth of the Son of God is expensive. Buy it so that you could have the property that doesn't perish. If you have tasted God's truth in Jesus, don't sell it away to get some temporal benefit. Buy the truth and never sell it! Be ready to give up all perishable things to be able to own the truth of God.
A wrong calculated cost estimate gives an unpleasant surprise. You don't want to be surprised when you die, do you! Certainly you don't want to face the angry God. You don't want to experience a resurrection into a body of evilness. Look at Jesus Christ who once suffered on the cross for your evilness. That testifies that God wants your salvation and you to become rich through Him who became poor for your sake.

God who has built universes with all their details, would He be unable to make a functional salvation for us! All the deeds of God work.
He has bought us free from the power of sin. He Himself has calculated the costs and paid the whole price of your salvation. He estimated that it is possible to produce a functional salvation only so that He Himself comes among us. Therefore God became Man in Jesus Christ. It is a part of the high price.
He also suffered our punishment on the cross. The blood of Jesus that was shed for the atonement of our evil deeds is an expensive part of the price, which God has paid to make it possible to save us.
In Jesus God also sentenced our sinful nature to eternal death. On the cross Jesus experienced how God abandoned Him instead of us. This pain of hell is a part of the expensive price that God has paid. Sharing His death sets us free from the slavery of our lusts. Therefore our sinful nature doesn't rule us anymore, if we have a share in Him. This gives us a victory over sin - now!
God raised Jesus up from the dead and changed His body into the body of a new man. He did it in Himself, He gave birth to the new human being, into whose likeness we are allowed to be changed through Him. This transformation becomes perfect in the resurrection of the children of God, but already now this new nature has an effect on us giving birth to the deeds that are from God. The price of the resurrection transcends all understanding, because it causes the children of God to be heirs of God. How much did the resurrection actually cost God? The heirs will get everything, won't they!
Oh my, how expensive! How shall you escape if you ignore such a great salvation?

Destroy this world, and God will raise it again. The crucifixion of Jesus was the end of this world and His resurrection built a new nature. Amazing are His deeds!
Did you build your world by crucifying Jesus? Every day many crowds crucify Him. They cannot do it concretely to Jesus, but they have made the same decision in their heart as they who did put into practice the execution of Jesus.
Wherever the name of Jesus has been mentioned there the Spirit of God has testified to His goodness. God's goodness has testified everybody to their own evilness. That moment is fateful to everybody. To humble or to harden oneself? This is the very question of your life!
Did you get angry with God, because He is good? Confessing one's own evilness in the light of God's goodness is turning to life. Defending one's own evilness is turning to death. Who defends his evilness doesn't endure the light of goodness for a long time, but he wants to remove its testimony from his life. Therefore those, who have hardened their hearts, crucify Jesus. Sooner or later they will do it, if they don't humble themselves under the reprimands of God's goodness.
This civilization has been built on the foundation of selfishness, greed and pride. Yet today this building can go on, because the Witness of God's goodness is among us. The world order of the calloused hearts has become harder and harder. The godless hand of the mankind is rising up to knock the witnesses of God out from the world.
The world wide persecution of Jesus' own will be the end of this world. Then the whole mankind faces a great distress. Immediately after those days the sun will be darkened in the same way as it was darkened when Jesus was on the cross. Mountains and islands will be removed from their places and the glory of Jesus Christ appears in the sky.
The judgment of this world doesn't drive you to despair, if you share the divine nature in Jesus Christ. On the contrary it will be a triumph and dressing into an eternal body, in which we can step before God without a shame. Then nothing evil will be found in us, but we can know ourselves perfectly clean and good. Oh what a happy day it will be! Let this world disappear and let the Kingdom of God come!
