Cause and Effect
Investigate the chains of causes and effects. The cause of an effect is the effect of the cause preceding it. Follow that chain to the initial source of causes and effects. Also follow this chain towards future. What will be the effect of this cause? For what effect this effect will be the cause? What will be the final effect? Everything that happens has its cause, although guilty hearts hide them in many ways.
The Law of Cause and Effect
The creation is a complicated system of causes and effects. Intelligent effects don't appear by chance. Only planned causes produce appropriate effects. People who caused bad effects often say: It was not my fault. It happened by accident. The evolution of evilness proceeds in human minds, but at the end nobody can blame chance for his evilness.
Only He who has planned the laws of causes and effects knows exactly their final result. When God has beforehand told us what will happen at the end, He in that way informs us of the result of his calculations of causes and effects.
When believers are speaking about the terrible events of the end times some people believe that speaking about these things causes them to happen. They try to claim that there are no causes but only effects, which are fulfilled by themselves. In this way they express their rebellion against the law of cause and effect. The mankind suffers for its own fault and not because God would want it.
Do you confess you have rebelled against the law of a cause and an effect? If you desire to do something which you know to have bad effects, you burn to consider the cause good though the consequences are bad. Many also believe they can change the effects of their deeds good by the power of their positive thinking. Therefore prophecies of God concerning the truthful causes and effects of their deeds make them angry.
If we investigate deeds that God planned in nature, we notice super wise consistency, expediency and beauty. God is really the God of order. If we investigate men's deeds in society and in technology, we notice inconsistency, purposelessness and filthiness.
Technology is used in efforts of trying to remove the curse in nature caused by the Fall. However it has not brought the Paradise back, but it is destroying even the rest of the loveliness of nature. Engineers integrate their implementations with human standards, but they don't honour enough the standards of God.
Also we ourselves can partly prophesy our future. We make mistakes in our calculations, and they all are not caused by our ignorance and our misunderstanding, but groundless optimism which comes from the heart that opposes the order of God.

Get effect by faith or faith by cause?
What is the cause of your faith? Why do you believe? If you believe only because you want to get an effect by it, you are in the circle where the effect is the cause for itself. In that circle you easily forget the original reason that caused you to want the effect. Worth and power of your faith is in its cause. First seek the right cause and the effect will appear by its power.
God became Man in Jesus Christ and so showed that He loves you. Listen to this, because it is a good reason to believe and obey God. The faith, which saves you, is the effect of the cause of you hearing the gospel. Don't try to believe in God, but listen to Him. First make the decision of listening for getting the faith. You can make the decision of faith and give yourself to Jesus, only after you have got the faith caused by God.
Everybody would like to go to the Paradise of God after he died. To be able to reach this good effect we want to own the reason which would cause it. For what reason you could be saved? For your good deeds? Do you think that your baptism is the reason? Many have trusted their faith as the cause that gives them salvation. This is true, if their faith is the effect of the gospel of God. The bare willingness to be saved cannot cause the faith, which then would cause the salvation.
Many people don't see any need of a salvation, because they feel to be in no danger. They don't realize the danger, because they don't care about real causes and about final effects. They only care about their momentary needs and how they get them satisfied. I, mine and to me are the causes they confess and my honour, my property and my pleasure are the effects they expect.

Selfish pleasure leads to sufferings
If iron is heated enough, we know the effect, it fuses. In the same way we know the effect, if the selfish pleasures of people become bad enough.
If many enough of young people have sexual intercourse before marriage, the number of divorces increases. When we have many divorces, the number of reconstituted families increases. When we have many blended families, the number of incest and the number of mental disorders of children increases. When the family tree of the mankind becomes ill, it is natural, that the heavenly gardener cuts away the sick branches.
If many enough commit adulteries, the number of abortions increases. When many abortions are made, childlessness increases. When unbridled sex is practiced the threshold of the excitability comes higher and leads to unnatural sexuality, to homosexuality and to lesbianism. Unnatural pleasures kill the natural affections and make people unconcerned about other people.
The society that is filled with sexual lust materializes persons. This trains the minds of people to see their neighbour only as commodities. This makes the threshold of killing people lower. In this atmosphere people are more ready to destroy all the people they feel useless like to do abortion to unborn children and to kill handicapped and old people.
Nowadays it is common that sexual lust is considered love. When evilness is considered goodness, it makes it more difficult to recognize what is right and what is wrong. It prevents you from experiencing the genuine love.

Who is familiar with fornicating "love" seeks for sweetness and romance in the message of God's love. The gospel is to him as a love song that fondles only his feelings, but doesn't cause faithfulness to Jesus. God wants you to see His love in Jesus taking your place on the cross. Your evilness is the cause and its effect is the death of the Son of God on the cross.

If nature is robbed too much we know the effect the soil will be impoverished and it doesn't yield a crop anymore and fishes of waters will run out. In the same way we know what will be the effect of our greed.
Like people make themselves sexy to be lusted, in the same way consumer goods are made tempting so that also for them there would be a lust. If there are enough of those who have a lust to own a lot of goods, a consumption society has been created. A sexy product is glossy and beautiful and gives the impression that you are forced to buy it.
The lack of incomes limits the lust of owning and therefore loans are offered to those who suffer for the lust of owning something. Like the sexual lust breaks marriages so also the lust of owning causes people to live beyond their means.
When there are enough of those who live beyond their means for a long time it causes the economic depression. When the income of many people is based on the loans that others have got, they all will face a destitution on a same day. After a collapse the debts are forgiven and a wheel of greed is forced to run again. When the greed driven economy has faced many enough depressions it finally comes to the last depression, because the earth has been consumed out.
The consumption society is like a beast. Before it the earth is like the Garden of Eden, but behind it the earth is like a desert. It devours the whole earth and tramples underfoot whatever was left. Just now this beast has got a good speed, when it has taken also China and India under its power.
The mankind is not able to repress its lusts. Therefore the protection of the nature will not succeed. People are worried about greenhouse gases because of climate change, but why are they not worried about its original reason, about greed. When there is no will to follow the chain of causes to the very beginning, the attention is drawn to a secondary cause so that the basic cause could be repressed from consciousness.
God gave us the following prophecy about our time already for about 2500 years ago: "The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left." Isa.24:5-6

A heart trained in greed hears the message of God's gift as a purchase offer. He believes to get something valuable and even free of charge. The decision of faith is to him as a purchase decision and the preacher of the gospel is like a salesman, who convinced him of the worth of the decision.
Actually God has done a purchase offer of you. You are not buying, but you are being bought. When calling you He is asking you if you would like to become His own through the sacrifice of Golgotha. Of course everything that exists is God's property and He does with it what He wants. It is a totally different thing to become His own through the death and the resurrection of Jesus. You lose everything to Jesus, which means death to your greed. On the other hand by it you become the property of God in the happiest way any other creation can be.

When some are boasting about their goodness some others become envious. Envy caused by pride divides people into parties which oppose each other. Envious people invent about themselves such things to boast about which cannot be boasted by those whom they envied. We live in the boasting society where people are nourishing their spirit with experiences that lift up their self-esteem.
People make themselves up to be honourable so that others would envy them. Their spirit shrieks with joy when they are proud of themselves. Who lives by the lust of glory finally loses healthy discernment about what really is worthy of honour.
If many enough live in the grip of sick ambition, it causes a war. Actually in a war there is nothing worthy of glory. Only those who think too much of themselves can be motivated to carry out the madness of war.
The mankind is not able to repress its lust for glory. Therefore war will continue until the end and desolations are the consequence of proud mind. A desolation caused by pride is a shame that for a moment frightens those who survived. However soon they have forgotten the shame and new boasters are ready to wage war again.
In the last war the mankind is boasting against God. Think, what blindness! They believe they are able to wage war against the Almighty. It is so because some are so clever that they can encourage people to think about themselves too much. "They go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty." Re.16:14

When he is disappointed with his earthly dreams he recognizes in the gospel the possibility to become something great by coming to faith. Jesus calls His own His brothers and it must be something great to be a child of God, they think.
In fact the gospel offers us the same kind of lot in this world as Jesus had. We can be children of God in Jesus Christ, but only in Him. As Jesus lived through His Father, when He walked among us, we too have to live through Jesus. If we don't remain in Him, also He doesn't remain in us. Thus if you are a child of God, do not boast about it, or you will wither like a branch that is cut away from Jesus-tree and is thrown into the fire.

Let God's Kingdom come!
What it causes when God was in Christ Jesus and reconciled the world to Himself? This has many consequences, which will happen without our faith. The whole creation will be delivered from the curse of sin.
"The creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body." Ro.8:21-24
Jesus will come on earth and those who belong to Him are raised from the dead. Then the earth will be delivered from its pollution. The deserts will be changed into gardens and extinct animals will come back. Everything will be good again, just as it was before the Fall.
What effect will it cause in your life that Jesus died and was raised up? Although you would not believe Him, anyway also you are raised from the dead and you will get a new body later in the resurrection of the judgement. If you believe Him, in His coming you will get a new body that will be like His body.
Also today many experience the consequences of the death and the resurrection of Jesus. Those who live in His love don't make themselves sexy to be lusted, but the purity of Jesus appears in them as chaste behaving and as faithfulness in the marriage. Those who live in His Spirit don't live beyond their means, but they are happy with the way God has taken care of their needs. Those who live in His faith don't boast about themselves, but they rejoice at God's grace.
You, man of God, do not become distressed at the destruction of this world, because that is like a cry of pain of a woman in labour. The new world will be born, when Jesus comes on the earth. So let's look over the darkness at the glory of God's Kingdom.
